What sorts of questions does Socrates ask and what sorts of answers does Euthyphro give?
Socrates ask questions to Euthyphro to explain what piety is and he gives five definitions to which Socrates objects. Firstly he states that piety is what is being done by himself by the execution of wrongdoers. He then states in his second definition that piety is what that is loved by the Gods and impiety is what that is hated by them. He then states that it applies to all Gods. In his fourth definition, he states how piety is part of justice and caring for the Gods. After this, he states how piety is what pleases the Gods and sacrifice.
