In what ways can a powerpoint presentation be more effective than poster boards, please explain.

PowerPoint presentations are designed with planning so that the content of the topic should be cleared for a better understanding of the concept. In PowerPoint presentation, each topic on a particular slide can be theoretically written by adding various info-graphics that cannot be created on poster boards.

Suppose, in a college, physics lecturer has planned to teach the students with PowerPoint. It will be the best medium to showcase such things correctly as for a particular topic, the lecturer can discuss theoretical concepts by putting relevant images, videos related to practical ideas, derivations, graphical representations of diagrams, etc along with the topic. Poster boards are limited to put more information related to anything and they cannot be showcased on a projector to making its visualization large. Teaching students required to make the topics visualized more so that by observing they can get an idea about concepts and with the help of a projector PowerPoint can be easily shared with the entire classroom. For the lecturer, it becomes easier to make understand students about topics. Using poster boards, it is difficult to explain the concepts in whole as it can only be used for basic discussions due to not having enough space and with poster boars a large number of students cannot take part in classroom discussion.

Through PowerPoint presentation, the entire topics about any subject can be discussed completely with step by step analysis of the concepts. A large group member can participate in PowerPoint presentations and learn many things about any topic. On the other hand, through PowerPoint presentations, it becomes easier to prepare topics thoroughly and can be modified by adding animations, videos, and other images so to make it an easy understanding to the listeners. The PowerPoint presentation does not have any space limitation and it can be as long as per the topic suggested. Such types of things are not available on poster boards. In this way, PowerPoint presentation is more effective than poster boards.
