100 mL of compound Y is insulated from surrounding and the temperature is changed to 20 degrees C.

100 mL of compound Y is poured into the flask labelled water.

Final temp of flask labelled water is recorded.

This is done twice more with the water temperature changing from 40 degrees C (trial #1) to 50 degrees C (trial #2) to then 60 degrees C (trial #3).

Trail one temp.: 23.4 degrees C
Trial two temp.: 25.04 degrees C
Trial three temp.: 26.72 degrees C
