Question 4: If the formation of the iron (III) thiocyanate complex were to be exothermic, what would you expect the absorbance to do (increase, decrease or no effect) on a hotter day? Explain your answer carefully.

As the formation is an exothermic reaction ,so the absorbance on the hotter day will decrease the product formation ,as according to le chateliar principle, increasing the temperature in the exothermic reaction will shift the reaction in the backward direction.
