The net force on any body is equal to its mass multiplied by its acceleration.

In the question, the mass of athlete = 53 kg

Acceleration of athlete= 5.35 m/s2

Net force = 53 kg* 5.35 m/s2 = 283.6 N

Option E is the answer.
