Answer #1

Stratification can be simply said as the hierarchy among people we see around us including ourselves with respect to access to resources suitable to enjoy a high-quality life. Sociologists study this concept as they work on the causes responsible for stratification such as the one that belongs to the race, gender, age, etc. A group of people with no home to live found in streets with their luggage and those who enjoy a luxurious life in a wealthy palace are clear examples of sight of stratification we see as a part of everyday life.

Karl Marx would state that the difference in economic capacity among different groups of people living in modern America is the one that has become responsible for economic stratification.
