1) Balanced reaction,

2Cu + S ---------> Cu2S.

2) In balanced reaction, 1 mole of Cu2O is produced from 2 mole copper (Ratio 1:2 ). Therefore, 0.25 mole Cu2O are produced from (0.25 x 2 ) / 1 = 0.50 mole Cu.

Therefore, 0.50 mole of Cu are required to produce 0.25 mole of Cu2O.
