Fast food restaurants are facing the problem of high turnover rate of employees. The cost of losing one employee can adversely effect the fast food restaurant owners as they rely on the power of their employees. Since many of the employees leave their job because of various reasons, the owner can take some measures to reduce their turnover rates.
Practise of fair pay.
Low pay is one of the important reason why which employees leaving the job. The workers in the fast food restaurant will be probably having less experience and less educational qualifications. So it will easily attract teenagers and younger employees. Paying them a reasonable wage can motivate them to stay in the job at least for a limited time period.
Providing proper training
If the employees are provided with proper training program, they will not think about leaving the job soon and also it will helps them to think about making it a permanent job.
Reasonable work schedules
If the work schedules are not able to handle by the employees, the probability of quitting the job is very high. So while creating the work schedules, it should be ensured that they are getting reasonable hours per week for their full time or part-time jobs. Too much overtime can lead to the burnout which is usually seen in many restaurants.
