Greetings Sherri,
After your request for ideas to attract future employees, I researched other companies and I am submitting the following suggestions. Because higher education, families, and volunteering are important; we should implement these ideas into our benefit package for new employees. Here are some suggestions from other businesses we could consider:
Hilton
• Provides employees with family medical leave.
• Gives performance bonuses.
• Offers tuition assistance.
• Provides paternity and maternity leave.
Cisco
• Gives an annual bonus.
• Provides tuition reimbursement for accredited programs.
• Gives employees’ their birthday off with pay.
• Gives their employees up to five days off with pay to volunteer for a cause that matters to them.
I believe we should consider these suggestions for our company. We should provide maternity and paternity leave. This is a benefit many companies offer in today’s business. We could also offer a type of tuition reimbursement that regards moving up in our company. We could provide an annual bonus and offer a day with pay on employees’ birthday. Volunteering is important to our company, I think we should offer a volunteer day quarterly to employees who wish to participate.
