what is the perspective of the Ethics of Relationships in buying and using unsustainable products (such as plastics, electronics that don't last, etc.)

The issue with sustainability is that the human race is already behind schedule on the approach to sustain the environment and its respective resources. The ethical question now being raised is that with every product that we use we should be conscious about the decisions we make in choosing that product as to what effects it might have on the environment and what we are leaving for the generations after us to come and live in. The main culprit here is plastic which was invented around 100 years ago. The issue with plastic was that it was produced heavily during the world wars and at that time it was considered to be more efficient than any other product and no one wanted to invest on the ill effects of this material but their main issue was weapons and army. By the time the wars ended, it was time for Cold War and by the time that ended, plastic was already in the daily lives of people as deep as it can. New researches show that micro level and nano-level plastic particles are being found in marine animals which not only are a huge concern for their lives but also the people who consume them.

Now in today’s world the situation has become so bad that while purchasing any given item, it is unethical to not consider the footprint that item is going to leave on the environment.
