What would you consider the most important type of music in the 21st century; vocal or instrumental? Why do you think this?

Vocal and instrumental music both are very important in order to form a good song as both together plays significant role in attracting listeners.
However, if which one is more important than other, then I would say vocal music is more important than instrumental because without vocal music is incomplete. People always more focused towards singers and remember the singing. Very less people emphasize on instrumental music like noticing guitar tonne, piano tonne, drum beats etc. However, vocal can never be ignored and it is always noticeable. So vocal is more important than instrumental in 21st century.
