An open-top cylindrical tank holds 10m3 of a liquid. This liquid has a density of 1kg/L, heat capacity of 4.2kJ/kgK, thermal conductivity of 0.9W/mK, and viscosity of 1cP. The tank is well mixed. Initially, the tank operates at steady state. Streams A and B are fed continuously in the tank. Stream A has a temperature and flowrate of 35C, and 4m3/min. Stream B has a temperature and flowrate of 80C, and 5m3/min. The flowrates do not change. Stream C exits the stream.

a. What are the transfer functions relating changes in Ta and Tb to changes in Tc?

( I believe this involves Laplace transform charts, if possible to solve, please include what Laplace transforms were used. I need lots of practice with this)

b. The temperature of stream A suddenly decreases by 10C. 5 minutes later, the temperature of stream B increases by 10C. What are the mathematical expressions for Ta(t) and Tb(t)? (hint: you can ignore times that are less than zero)

c. What is Tc(t)
