The disadvantage of subscription model is that there might be chances of your people shifting to competitors which have less prices or better facilities.
The subscription model is suited for the apps which are one of kind. These can be good for video in demand, writing softwares, softwares used for accounts, etc. as the content and reliability will make people come back to you again.
