Please include step by step, I'm extremely confused. I searched and found 1500 watts is standard on a space heater.

Watt is the unit of power consumption, which is Joule/sec.

Power rating given on heaters are the power consumption at high, therefore if rating is given as 1500 watts, it will consume 1500 watts power at high.
