How would you rate your manager?
How would you rate your current or previous manager based upon the concepts of chapters from intro to business course? Could you do their job better? What areas would you need to improve upon in order to be a successful manager?
There could be evaluation of the manager on different parameters. A question could be asked if he/she follows company processes with respect to business and people. Our ratings could be justified with examples framed in a positive tone. As for example, ‘For better outcomes, meetings can be planned in advance’.
The primary role of a manager is to set measurable goals and deadlines for the team. My current manager keeps the questions crisp and meaningful. It is mainly related to our targets, my supervisor’s communication to me and if the team was clear about the target.
Manager has a big role to play in the team’s progress. He/she should do his/her bits to speed up work. Easy accessibility to your manager is very important, so that you can reach out, in case of problems and motivational support.
Areas that could be focused on to be a successful manager-
An employee must be sensitive about the relationship with his/her boss and must learn to adore and inculcate his/her positive qualities. Negative opinions that you share should be minimized.
