Your Topic: Think about providing value to your organization.
In the image, the top four components—organizational
infrastructure, human resource management, technological
development, and procurement (gathering input)—are supporting
activities. The “margin” represents the value added by supporting
primary activities (the components at the bottom).
The following list describes primary activities:
For this discussion, analyze the value chain for your industry value chain.
For example: having superior relationships with suppliers (through prompt payments, electronic ordering, loyalty, and so forth), the company can ensure timely delivery and a high quality of raw materials. These, in turn, add value for customers by providing a high-quality product at a lower cost. If good quality and lower costs are top priorities for customers, the company knows on which parts of the value chain to focus (e.g., better suppliers to ensure quality and reduce costs, superior operations to ensure quality, better distribution to reduce costs, better after-sales service to ensure quality with warranties). So, the value chain is really about understanding what aspects of an organization’s business add value for customers and then maximizing those aspects.
Look at this from the perspective as if you were working in that field. Reference MIS project 1 and the initial work you have done. In your write-up address all these points, you will need to add these to your report and presentation later in this term.

There is a small restaurant change called "Momspun". Momspun provides healthy, homemade food at an affordable price to those who are living away from home. These includes office workers and students.
Primary activities for Momspun are:
1. Cooking: Preparing food is the most important activity for Momspun. This food should be consistent in taste, healthy and affordable.
2. Sales and marketing: Selling and marketing of this food is also primary activity as it will maintain the inflow of cash and increase business.
Secondary activities:
1. Procurement: Gathering raw material for food preparation is secondary task it is a necessary function but won't increase the business.
Value for organization:
Now, as I have already mentioned the objective of Momspun is to provide healthy and affordable homemade food so it is very important to maintain supplier relationship. As the food is a perishable good it is important to get it on time and at a reasonable rate without compromising quality.
The foundation of business is built on fresh and healthy food, so if the supplier of raw material is good and healthy relationship is maintained then only business can grow and flourish. Apart from the supplier, the cook is also important resource. The consistency of taste and quality are extremely important elements of business. So, these things will bring value to the organization.
