All the following act as a Lewis acid in water except:

MgO |

CO2 |
Fe2+ |
Ni2+ |
Please explain.
MgO is a Lewis base and all others are Lewis acid. O2- in MgO
act as a lone pair donor when react with water and form Mg(OH)2 and
hence is Lewis base just like all metal oxide. All other molecules
in the option accept lone pair from water and hence act as a Lewis
acid.
