What would be the process to mitigate risks, resources, and timelines if issues arise with moving configurations to different environments with a BI project?
Answer)
A risk is known as the potential which can be there when a given
threat will exploit the vulnerabilities on an asset or a group of
assets in the category.
Risk management should be there in an organization. It consists of
observing, orient, decide, and act on the events that may lead to
risk. The company will analyze the risk and manage it in a better
way. Risk analysis should be done majorly on the analysis phase of
the risk to avoid and be prepared for the risk and in case of also
unforeseen risks. The better approach is the approach where we
implement continuous risk management.
The two kinds of security risks which can seriously affect the
project are the security risks to the company or the business in
which information security is at risk. And also, financial risks
such as monetary and deals which if go wrong can shut down the
entire company.
The process to mitigate the business risks which can be there can
be in the process to mitigate risks, resources, and timelines if
issues arise with moving configurations to different environments
with a BI project, will be:
a) Proper testing is to be done before moving configurations in the
final version to different environments with the BI project.
b) The business risks should be well formulated beforehand such
that they can be in the process to mitigate risks, resources, and
timelines.
c) Rollback should be there in case of any risks which can be
caused by moving configurations to different environments.
d) Backups should be made at every instance of the movement.
