There are 4 levels of evaluation whenever training is conducted, it is usually done to ensure that improvements can be done in the next part:

• Reaction: This is the first phase in which the organisation conducting the training try and gauze the first instant of the participants i.e. whether they liked the training in the initial phase or not, were they happy and were discussing it or were they avoiding it. This gives a superficial idea to the team as to how did the training go.
• Learning: In this phase, the trainers evaluate whether the participants acquired the knowledge that they were intended to, this would ensure that the very objective of the training was met or not. This is also done with the aim of making some relevant improvements in the training content.
• Behaviour: This phase judges the implementation of the learning that people have got from the training i.e. the change in the behaviour of employees once training was done and how they have changed their work style to improve productivity.
• Results: Lastly, this measures that how much actual cost was reduced, how effective the skills have become, to what extent the quality has improved etc. i.e. what are the measurable benefits the training has given to the organisation.
