Explain why:
a. for analytical purposes when working with a microelectrode the scanning speed should be small.
b. KCl is used in an electrochemical cell on the saline bridge.
c. a third electrode, the auxiliary electrode, is required in an electrochemical cell.
d. NPP sensitivity is higher than in classical polarography but in terms of detection limit, DPP is better than both.
As you have not specified any specific question part so I am answering according to the HomeworkLib guidelines and policy.
Answer 2
If you again read the function of salt bridge, you can yourself sort out the use of KCL. Let me make u aware with the function of salt bridge
1. It completes the circuit
2. It helps to maintain liquid liquid junction potential
For maintaing liquid liquid junction potential the ionic mobilities of the cations and anions of electrolyte which is kept in salt brigde should be same for this the size of cation and anion should be comparable….KCl fits into this example, so we use it..
