Group A regards the land as soil, and its function as commodity production Group B regards the land as a biota, and its function as something broader.According to Leopold, health is the state of being free from injury or illness. From ecological practices and understanding of group A, it’s through land that good health arises. On the other hand, from Group Bs perspective, it’s through land which is a biota that health originates.Leopold defines conservation as a state of harmony that exists between men and land.
