No, I would not sign up for this kind of trade as the data generated by Fitbit is personal data and employer has no right to take information from such data. Such data will result in an invasion of privacy from the employer which exceeds the brief of professional relationship between employee and employer.
Fitbit GPS data can be used to track and locate a person. Employer can take advantage of this technology to monitor and perform illegal surveillance activities on employee. Employer can also use data to provide insurance with terms and conditions which benefits the company rather than employee. Employer can sell the data to insurance companies.
