In newSQL server has a data
collector. This Collector works as for gathering the data. It has
one central point fordata. At that point, the
data will be gathered from different sources.
This data collector enables to manage the collected
data by various settings.
My experience: SQL servers are mainly focused on data
integration, it has great security features, I can choose my
language and platform in it.
Crystal Reports:
Data gathering in Crystal Reports takes a little bit
more time. For add multiple sources to the report and link them as
needed. Run a report and export via ODBC(Open Database
Connectivity) to a table with the specified database.
We can use commands in Crystal Reports. Basically using
commands for any operations in Crystal Reports is the best
option.
My experience: We can use these functionalities for
many years as you want, Data exporting is very easy, we can use
Custom templates for our requirement.
SAS:
For data gathering in SAS, we use Hypothesis. The
hypothesis is just a statement that helps to differentiate the
data. With this hypothesis, we can and gather the related data and
define the data set.
Various types of instruments(Hypothesis) result in
various types of data. With this data gathered,
analysis can help to tell that if the agent wants more difficult
goals.
My experience: SAS has good data presentation,
itIntegrates data from different sources, we can
also do Mobile deployment in good effectively.
Tableau:
Tableau is uses forms for data collection. Its very
simple to do. The data that come with these forms can be stored in
Tableau servers.
We can blend the data from various data sources with
data stored in Tableau server.
My experience: Tableau is easy and fast for importing
data, analyzing data and visualizing data, it is cost-effective
also, it has user understandable interface.
Oracle:
The data gathering in Oracle differs from others
because they use the AWR (Automatic workload Repository). It's
based on statistics. By using these statistics based data
collection some problems will occur.
AWR used for the capture of baseline data by enabling
the specify. Only some specific statistics may have increased then
it could be the problem. To rectify this AWR preserve a pair and
range on the baseline.
My experience: Oracle is used to store both internal
data as well as used for customer data, Oracle Database very robust
and does secure.
IBM Cognos:
IBM uses the decision table for data collection. This
table is used to decide which data is an option to use for data
collection.
This table is just questions with meaning. This table
summarizes the data into various types of data collections. IBM
Congos are different from SAS.
My experience: we work on a large amount of data with
this tool, good for Standard Reporting, and it has good security
features.
