1.The Hadley cell, which is named after George Hadley, is a global scale atmospheric circulation phenomena that displays air rising near the Equator that is flowing towards a pole at a height ranging from 10 to 15 kilometers above the earth’s surface, decreasing in the subtropics, and then returning towards equator near the surface.

This circulation creates the tropical rain-belts and hurricanes, tropical-cycles,jet steams and the subtropical deserts.

They are the low-latitude circulations that feature air rising at the equator and air descending at nearly 30° latitude and are responsible for the trade winds in the control low latitude wind patterns.

2.An inversion is just an inversion of the normal temperature system that is increasing in the atmosphere.

During the summer season we are more concerned about thunderstorms than we are about the pollution surrounding our planet. Thunderstorms are dependent on the strong rising current of air to develop. As long as these currents of air become warmer than the air surrounding, they will continue to rise and feed the thunderstorms.

However, there are also many other days during the summer months when warmer air which is usually coming in from the southwest desert moves over a fairly cooler layer at the surface. When this takes place it is said that the atmosphere is capped.

In layman terms as the air rises it meets the layer of warmer air and is pushed back down and stops thunderstorms to develop.

3 An individual’s exposure to urban air pollution depends on the amount of time spent indoors and outdoors, i.e location and the time spent at a particular location.

Outdoors of a community, inside an individual vehicle, and inside a particular residence are examples of locations that can be defined, under suitable conditions.You may be more exposed to the pollution outdoors as compared to when you are inside your residence.

The time here refers to the period for which the person is in a specific location.The more a person spends time outdoors,the more he will exposed to the urban pollution and vice versa.
