The following information has been provided for the question above:

  • "Screen shot of python code" for understanding of code indentation.
  • "Text format code" to copy and execute in your IDE.

NOTE: Code indentation is very important for python code execution. I used Python.3.5.1 IDE version to run this program.

Screen shot of python code:

Output:

Python 3.5.1 Shell File Edit Shell Debug Options Window Help Enter a number 6 10: 0, 1: 1, 2: 4, 3: 9, 4: 16, 5 25, 6: 36) 3

Text format code:

#Prompt and read the number from the user
n=input("Enter a number: ")
dict={}

#First n counting numbers to their squares and print the output
for i in range(int(n)+1):
    dict[i]=i
n = 0

while n < len(dict):
    squares=(n*n)
    dict[n]=squares
    n += 1
print(dict)
