If the water level has dropped to 4/5 of the 6 1/4 gallons that it can hold, then that means that 1/5 of the aquariums capacity is gone. So you have to multiply 6 1/4 X 1/5.
Change 6 1/4 to an improper fraction, 25/4. Then multiply that by 1/5.
25/4 X 1/5 = 25/20, which is 1 5/20, which can be reduced to 1 1/4 gallons.
