An electrical tower of height 12 feet stands 21 feet away from a 20-foot tall building. A support cable stretched from the top of the tower to a point on the ground and then back to the top of the building. How far from the base of the tower should the cable be attached on the ground so that the least amount of total cables is used? You must set up an appropriate function to get credit. Show all work. Use the methods of this course -- Do not use calculus. Give the final answers accurate to two decimal places. In Class we are using mathematical modeling.

So far I have an X and Y graph with tower at (0,0) and (0,12) and the building at (21,0) and (21,20). I know the base of the tower to the point of the support cable is X, and the the base of the building to the point of th support cable is 21-X.

I'm lost after that point.
