Yes, in past 20years, collective decision making is a trend and it is preferable to make a decision after doing a group discussion or taking the nod of concerned people. This is happened due to making a team responsible for the decision and not a single person. Also, more people into decision making will make a decision to go through the multiple mind scrutiny where after discussion, a concrete decision can be taken place where the input of all is taken into consideration.
