Energy of one photon is given as :

E = h x f

h is planck's constant = 6.626 x 10-34 J.s

f = frequency = 5.50 x 1015 Hz

putting values :

= 6.626 x 10-34 J.s x 5.50 x 1015 Hz

= 3.64 x 10-18 J

total energy = 1 KJ = 1000 J

So number of photons :

= 1000 J / ( 3.64 x 10-18 J/photon)

= 2.74 x 1020 photons
