Answer #1

w = angular speed = 41 rpm = 41 (2\pi/60) = 4.29 rad/s              (1 rev = 2\pi rad and 1 min = 60 sec)

r = radius = diameter/2 = 38/2 = 19 cm = 0.19 m

acceleration is given as ::

a = r w2

a = (0.19) (4.29)2

a = 3.496779 m/s2
