Ans 1 :

Jaw crushers are the machines that are used to crush the large rocks into smaller pieces such as gravel , rock dust , smaller rocks etc , whereas the ball mills are used to blend the materials even more finer upto the particle size of 20 to 75 microns.

In the crusher , the crushing is accompalished between the two crushing jaws , whereas in the ball mill the grinding is done using rotating cylinders that has grinding balls made up of steel.
