Answer #1

1) The balanced equation for reaction between aq. strontium iodide and aq. plumbous nitrate is

SrI2 (aq) + Pb(NO3)2 (aq) ---------->PbI2 (s) + Sr(NO3)2 (aq)

Here, solid PbI2 fomred.

Hence, it is a precipitation reaction.

2) The balanced equation for reaction between aq. copper (II) nitrate and and aq. nickel (II) sulfate is

Cu(NO3)2 (aq) + NiSO4 (aq) ----------> CuSO4 (s) + Ni(NO3)2 (aq)

   Here, solid CuSO4 fomred.

Hence, it is a precipitation reaction.

3) The reaction between gaseous sulfur dioxide and gaseous oxygen and liquid water produce H2SO4 (acid rain)

SO2 (g) + 2O2 (g)+ 2H2O (l) --------> 2H2SO4 (aq)

It is a combination reaction. It is also called synthesis reaction.

4) In electrochemical series , gold is placed below Hydrogen.

Hence, gold cannot displace hydrogen from perchloric acid ( HClO4).

Therefore, no reaction.

Au + HClO4 ----------> No reaction

5) When Solid sodium is added to liquid water, sodium hydroxide will be formed and hydrogen gas will be evolved.

2Na (s) + 2H2O (l) ---------> 2 NaOH (aq)+ H2 (g)

H2 is displaced. Hence, It is a single displacement reaction.

6)

4Fe(s) + 3O2 (g) ------------> 2Fe2O3(s)

It is a combination reaction. It is also called synthesis reaction.
