Answer #1

Answer: Vitamin C

All the vitamins must be present in the body at required levels for both smokers and nonsmokers.

Vitamin C is well-known for its anti-oxidant properties which help in repairing the damage caused by smoking.

Vitamin D deficiency and the occurrence of lower and upper respiratory infections are found to have an association regardless of smoking habit.

Thiamin is also a vitamin which is found less in smokers which result in high serum homocysteine levels and increased risk for cardiovascular diseases.

Folate deficiency is also found in smokers.

Among all these vitamins, vitamin C plays an important role in the improvement of health for smokers.
