1.The issues surrounding the Josiah's mealtime are

  • Sipping apple juice before the mealtime
  • Child fed from the plates of the parent ,cannot able to identify how much quantity the child is fed
  • Watching television is a distraction neither the mother and grandmother knew how the child is eating,whether likes or dislikes the food,is taking in an adequate quantity, lack 9f interaction to the child loosens the bond.
  • Not sitting g in the booster chair
  • Eating crackers,cookies,slices of cheese can decrease appetite

2.The method to introduce new food at this age can be done

  • By providing a small quantity, this can be helpful to assess any allergy
  • Encourage the child to eat by self,this makes the child to concentrate on what they eat
  • Provide foods in attractive ways ,because a child develops visual sense much better than other to reach to any object and use it.
  • Showing the similar objects or food items in books can develop their learning as well as eating skill

3.Some of the snacks which will be appropriate for the child are

  • Fruits (apples,banana,orange,grapes )
  • Dried fruits
  • Nuts and raisins
  • Energy bar
  • Milk

4.This can lead to over or excess drinking of the apple juice through the shipping cup .This if done before the meal time will make the child feel full and eat a very little quantity of food at meal time.
