Answer #1

Answer: For the response of the nutritional therapy prealbumin is preferred rather than albumin as prealbumin is synthesized in the liver and it acts as a transport protein in the body. Its amount in the body is low and also has a shorter half-life of 2–3 days.

In a research it has been found that people having low prealbumin have higher mortality rate. The prealbumin helps to recover the patients from the diseases more quickly. There is a limitation of the range of tracking the pre-albumin in the person's nutritional therapy.
