You can choose C-H functionalisation reaction as your topic. It is the methodology to functionalize a C-H bond directly to other C-X bonds using various catalyst. They are attractive alternatives to Noble prize winning cross coupling reactions which create halogenated wastes after reaction and it requires prefunctionalization of substrate. But in case of C-H Functionalisation reaction there is harldy wastes produced. So it's a hot topic in modern day chemistry research world. It might be an interesting topic for poster presentation for green chemistry.
