Outsiders is an individual or group of people doesn't belong to the organization. The purpose of the outsiders visits is to understand the organizational culture, climate, unity and the way of planning and execution of work.

The most surprising findings among outsiders visiting intensive care unit is the high level of noise. Noise pollution in ICU results from the usage of advance technology and equipments like cardiac monitors, defibrillators, mechanical ventilators, intra aortic ballon pump machine. Studies proved continuos exposure of high level of noise results in high blood pressure and cardiac diseases in patients. It also results in the aggressive behavior in the patients. Increase in noise level also keeps undue stress in health workers ex) Vital alarms, ventilator trouble shooting alarms. Noise pollution disturbs sleep pattern among patients and increases stress results in poor recovery. Communication between health workers in a louder voice also contributes to noise pollution.
