Every relationship has a limit and you need to respect that limit. While it is obvious that two "mature" people are supposed to understand each other and that might result in an attractive encounter, does not mean that all the best friends fall for each other. When you are in relationship with someone else, you have to know where to place the other "best friend". You cannot juggle between the two and keep crossing boundaries in name of "best friends". It does matter! You cannot have everything on your plate and ride two boats simultaneously. So, judge before you are ready to destroy lives. If you are determined enough to pursue someone and still have the other clingy "best friend". It would be better to refrain from the former, rather than getting in a relationship while you think you still are romantically invoved with your best friend.
