1BxAns: Title IX belongs to the Education amendments of 1972 is a Federal law in United States which prohibits  sexual discrimination or activity against person on the basis of sex who is under any  educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.

Sexual harassment is a type of sexual discrimination prohibited by title IX. This can be classified into two types:

  • Quid Pro Quo
  • Hostile environment.

Quid Pro Quo means the managers or the boss cannot ask for a sexual favour in return for any service from any staff.

Hostile environment means to make the working environment discomfortable for the staff .

2.Ans :Red zone is a time period of vulnerability for sexual harassments which starts from the time when freshman walks into the college to the thanksgiving break.It spans upto 6 weeks from the beginning of classes in college. This time period is considered so dangerous because of increased risk for sexual assaults, abuses, rapes and other discriminating activities.
