Public health class question, ASAP please
The Federal government recently added a citizenship question to the 2020 census. Some groups oppose this based on a civil rights perspective. However, such a step will also have significant public health implications. In the context of a public health perspective explain how such a question could be problematic. why it would be problematic and what impact it would have on public health programing. choose one specific impact only.
I am interested in studying a rare disease that also is highly stigmatized and a long incubation period. I am interested in studying multiple exposures in a single study and I am interested in studying the association with those risk factors. Please tell me what study design would be best for this study, what the best recruitment method would be, and what bias i should be concerned about. should the study be retrospective or prospective? would the findings allow for the calculation of the odds Ratio, Risk Ratio or both? Justify your answer fully.
Defining the research problem is the basic step. A disease has many dimension hence need to specify the population under study. Sample size since many diseases have a pattern some are endemic , pandemic in nature.
Study of disease and the factors affecting could be numerous.
Association of risk factors could be studied by annova test where two or more samples are taken from two different groups.
Confidentially to be maintained at every step as the rare disease has many implications on public health settings.
Randomised control trial can be used.
Sampling criteria to be specified to reduce bias and error.
Calculation of odds ratio and risk ratio will depend on your data collection.
If you are able to associate the factors with the occurrence of disease these values can be calculated
Researcher bias should be taken care of.
