Boxplot of Method A, Methhod B 80.06 80.04 80.02 80.00 g 79.98 79.96 79.94 79.92 79.90 Method A MethhodB

From the boxplots it is evident that Method B is more precise than Method A because there is a presence of an outlier in Method A, which increases its spread.

b. Mean of Method A

= 80.015

Standard deviation of Method A

= 0.0401

Mean of Method B

= 79.979

Standard Deviation of Method B

= 0.0314

These standard deviation of method A is higher which indicates that Method A values are more dispersed than those of Method B. This was also clear from the boxplot.
