Answer #1

Given is :-

Frau = 100N

g=10m/s

therefore the mass of the object will be

Farav = mg

or

100N = m(10m/s)

which gives us

m = 10kg

now,

The forces in vertical direction will cancel each other out, there is net force in only horizontal direction, therefore by applying Newton's second law in horizontal direction, we get

Fapp = ma

or

50N = (10kg)

which gives us

a = 5m/s?

This is the required acceleration in the right direction.
