Nipride 50mg= 50000mcg in 250 ml solution

rate of flow = 5mcg/kg/minute

weight of the client =182 pounds = 82.7 Kg

So the rate of flow is 5 mcg × 82.7 kg per minute = 413.6 mcg/ minute

this means the patient has to get 413.6 mcg of the drug per minute

50000mcg of Nipride is present in 250 ml of the solution.

so 413 mcg is in how many ml of the solution?

50000 250 413.6 x

phpHT1EHO.png is the volume of the solution to be infused per minute.

x = 413.6 x 250/50000

= 2.06 ml

1 ml is 60 drops , so the patient has to get 120 drops per minute.
