a)For temperature measurment ,the physical quantity we can use the volume of mercury or length of mercury column in a thermometer.if we are using thermocouple the physical principle is seebeck effect. In pyrometer radiation effect is the principle.

b)pressure signals we are using to control the flow rates.Analog signals are using for sensor reading, and also many control valves are using as final control element.

c)Float actuated devices,Displacer devices,Dielectric measurments,Conductivity measurments,Sonic resonance

Four large tanks at a chemical plant contain different liquids being bested. Liquid-level sensors are used to detect whenever the level in thanks A and B rises. Above a predetermined level Temperature sensor in tanks C and D detect when the temperature in these drops below a prescribed temperature limit. Assume that the liquid-level sensor outputs(A and B)are LOW (0) when the level is satisfactory and HIGH(1)when the level is too high. Also, the temperature-sensor outputs (C and D)are LOW(0)when...

Potential temperature can be used to compare the temperature of air parcels that are at different levels in the troposphere. Since temperature tends to decrease with height, it is difficult to note which regions in the troposphere are experiencing warm and which cold advection. Bringing air parcels adiabatically to a standard level (1000 hPa) allows comparisons to be made between air parcels at different elevations. If the potential temperature of an air parcel at one pressure level is lower than...

The machine pouring the cereal into the box may not be adjusted properly, and it may only put 15.8 ounces in each box, on the average. This would be considered an...
