I’m confused on how to find g
Hang 5 different masses (make sure to use kg) from the spring so that they do not oscillate (static equilibrium) and measure the amount of deflection from equilibrium (x) for each mass as shown in the figure below. Record your values in the table below. Do not overstretch the springs!!! Use Hookes Law to determine the acceleration of g for each of the suspended masses (if there is a lot of variety in your values re- do your measurements) and calculate the average value of g.
