The Indian government forced Coca-Cola out of the country during 1977 but they managed to return back during 1993. Since then they are depleting the most value groundwater resource. It takes nine-litre to produce 1 litre of Coca-Cola. The bottling plant initiated in Kala Dera village in Rajasthan, India is completely left without groundwater. Despite, people and NGO protest, they still continuing their operation depleting more and more water by bribing the government politicians. Though they have claimed that they are recharging the groundwater, there is no evidence for it.
