(b) Average value of driving performance index=1.926 and it is computed by taking sum of all observations divided by the total number of observations.

Median=1.755 which means 1.755 is the middle value of the 40 driving performance index values after arranging the data in increasing or deceasing order. It divides the whole data into equal parts.

Mode=1.4 means it appears maximum no. of times in the 40 driving performance index values i.e. 1.4 appears 3 times in the data set and 3 is the maximum frequency.

From box plot it is observed that 3rd quartile-median>median-First quartile hence the distribution is skewed right (+vely skewed).
