It is also possible to sign a contract that starts at $8M for the first year and then increases at $2M each year for 10 years. (note some income is deferred until after he retires). Value of choice 1:

12+ 12 + 3 〉 (1.08)

12 + 3(0.93 + 0.87 + 0.80 + 0.75 + 0.70 + 0.65) = 26.1 M
