Answer #1

The Correct Answer is c. High level of dependence on supplier performance.

The basic objective of just-in-time inventory system is to keep inventory level as low as possible and minimum investment in inventories. As a result of keeping low inventories the storage cost and cost for managing the inventories are also lower. However this will lead to High level of dependence on supplier performance as the company would need to get the required inventories from the suppliers as quickly as possible so that the production is not hampered. So more reliance has to be placed on suppliers performance.
