Answer #1

At pH 14 the solubility will be equal to the Kf which in this case is 0.05.

If the pH is 7 then the pOH is 7 because pH + pOH = 14, and if the pOH is 7, then the (OH-) concentration = antilog(-pOH).

antilog (-7) = l x 10-7

9 x l0-16 = (Mg++)(l x l0-7)^2

(Mg++) =9 x l0-16/10-14=0.09 Moles per liter solubility
